In a viral video, a Rajasthan SDM asked a doctor to vacate his chair. Internet is furious that she blasted him for refusing to vacate the chair.
A video of a Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) arguing with a doctor at a community health centre has surfaced on the internet and is going viral. You might be surprised to know that the heated argument took over a mere chair.
The shocking incident took place in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan when Priyanka Talania, the SDM of Pilibanga, went to the district's community health centre for a surprise inspection. She directed the on-duty doctor Narendra Bishnoi to get up from his chair as she wanted to check some documents. The doctor, who was attending the patients at the OPD, politely refused to vacate the chair. He insisted that she could sit on any other chair.
His refusal to vacate the chair did not go down well with the SDM and she started shouting on the doctor.
The entire event was recorded on camera and the video has been shared on Twitter by Dr. Manish Kumar. "She is SDM. Went for sudden inspection of CHC. Asked duty in-charge to vacate his seat which he politely and strictly refused. And she went berserk," he wrote in the caption.

In the 2-minute-long video, the SDM is seen bullying the doctor with her power. As the doctor maintains his calm and demeanour, she ends up calling him 'unstable'.
"I think you are a newcomer and recently joined the services. DO you know whom are you talking to? Do you have any idea that we have power to inspect any of the offices in my supervision? Do you know?," the SDM asked. To this, the doctor replied, "You can do so madam."
The doctor further says that "You are stopping me from seeing the patients." The doctor angrily replies, "How am I stopping you? Is it your emergency?"
The video is being widely spread on social media and netizens are calling out the misbehaviour of the SDM.
"Wow. What a horrible woman. Someone rightfully said "power drunk!" How dare she. Who the hell gave her right to insult a perfect gentleman," a user wrote.
"India is no place for the technocrats. The Bureaucrats are the Lords here. The technocrats hence move abroad, or try to become Bureaucrats in India," wrote another user.

Meanwhile, Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors (JARD) has put forth a complaint against SDM Priyanka Talania about her misbehaviour with Dr. Bishnoi.
