Female foetus recovered from toilet of railway hospital in Ambala Cantonment

AMBALA: The officials of railway hospital, Ambala Cantonment recovered a female foetus from the toilet of the hospital on Wednesday morning. The woman who dumped the unborn baby is yet to be traced by the police.
As per the information, the sanitation staff of railway hospital was cleaning the premises when they spotted the foetus in the toilet and informed the senior administrative officials.

The hospital officials lodged a written complaint at Parao police station and station house officer (SHO) inspector Ajaib Singh reached the spot for inspection.
Northern railway, civil hospital, chief medical superintendent, Dr Latha Ramalingam lodged a complaint with Ambala police, she stated to the police, “This is to inform you that at 11.10am on February 19, 2020, a dead female foetus was found in the commode of toilet of the female ward in northern railway divisional hospital Ambala by contract cleaner Balbir Kaur. This is for your kind information and necessary action please.”
“We received the information from railway hospital officials in written and during inspection, we recovered a foetus from the hospital toilet. The concerned investigating teams including a scene of crime team was called and the foetus was taken into possession and its post-mortem examination will be done as per the due procedure”, said SHO Ajaib.
“A case against unknown under Section 315 (act done with intent to prevent child being born alive or to cause it to die after birth) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Parao police station and further investigation is being done. We will soon trace the woman who dumped the foetus in this manner and action as per law will be taken”, added the SHO.
